John Poirier, EdD

Consultant

John, a seasoned Consultant with Camden Consulting Group, takes on the roles of executive coach, consultant, trainer and facilitator to help clients in developing the competencies needed to enhance organizational effectiveness, team learning and individual performance.  John's combined expertise in Business and Human Resources development allows him to directly link people strategy to business strategy.  His varied experiences as a corporate manager, management consultant and college professor help him to relate to clients using their own frames of reference.

As an executive coach with an MBA, John is particularly effective with senior leaders and C-Suite clients given his ability to quickly understand the contextual business challenges.  His coaching engagement start with a focus there, then switches to the leadership competencies needed to be successful in the individual's role.  Finally, attention concentrates on the leader's "brand" and how to better manage that brand equity.  The client is encouraged to engage in "deliberate experimentation," a unique aspect of John's approach.

As a consultant with SPHR certification, John has helped hundreds of HR professionals with their functions and their own professional development.  He is a dynamic trainer, facilitator and keynote speaker on leadership, team and interpersonal effectiveness.  Dr. Poirier is also a Senior Lecturer in the department of Management at Bryant University where he is the coordinator of HR programs and teaches courses in Human Resources Management.
