Camden works collaboratively with client organizations and executives to facilitate the development of skills required for organizational success and to help the individual achieve targeted business results. Through the coaching process, leaders gain a greater understanding of how to use their strengths in service to their organization while the organization is better positioned to meet its strategic objectives.

The Audience
Camden's executive coaching services are primarily targeted to mid- to senior-level executives in key leadership roles. Executive coaching both supports an organization's strategic goals as well as shows a clear commitment to employees by the investment shown in supporting their career development and success. Sample executive coaching scenarios include:

  • High-potential executives poised to move into new positions or areas of responsibility
  • Professionals moving into new or stretch assignments that require an additional set of management skills
  • Key contributors who an organization wants to develop for more significant leadership roles and retain for the long term, or executives who need to strengthen critical skills
  • Leaders assimilating into new cultures or organizational roles
The Camden Approach
Executive coaching engagements generally last from six to twelve months and involve several critical steps, including: contracting, assessment and feedback, action planning, implementation of the plan and ongoing monitoring of progress. Although each assignment is tailored to address specific individual and organizational needs, the Camden approach involves a number of common elements, including:

  • Extensive assessment of both the organization and the individual to determine the starting point and objectives of the engagement
  • A detailed developmental action plan that is agreed to by all parties
  • Regular one-on-one coaching between the executive and the consultant during the implementation of the plan
  • Several check-in meetings with the executive's supervisor and/or senior human resources staff during and at the completion of the engagement to monitor progress
