Alec Murray

Alec Murray is a Senior Partner at Camden and is responsible for coaching high-level executives to greater levels of effectiveness within their organizations.

Alec’s approach to coaching is distinguished by his deep understanding and appreciation for the link between business outcomes and leadership behaviors.  In his work with clients over numerous engagements, Alec starts with the question, “what are the business needs?” and uses the responses to inform his work regarding clients developmental needs.

Alec has high level consulting experience and an extensive business background.  Before joining Camden, Alec consulted on his own with CEOs of companies in various industries including technology and retail.  Prior to his consulting work, Alec was Chief Operating Officer at Century Capital Management where he oversaw operations, sales and marketing, and compliance.   Previous to this, Alec was a Director of Equity Research at MFS Investment Management as well as an equity analyst following the technology, health care, and energy industries.

Alec holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business and a BA from Colby College.  He has completed training at Synecticsworld and The Baron Group in facilitation, innovation process, and consultative selling.  Alec currently serves on the Board of Directors of DentBetty, a consumer Internet company.

Outside of Camden, Alec enjoys spending time with family, boating, hiking, golfing, playing ping-pong, and most recently snow boarding.  He volunteers his spare time with a local organization that provides free consulting services to non-profit organizations.
